Interests and Specialties: Transnational Corporations, International Trade and Finance, Open-Economy Macroeconomics Professor Janis Kaplers research focuses on the competitive strategies and performance of multinational corporations, and on the links between MNC activities and domestic macroeconomic performance. Recent papers include "The Theory of Transnational Firms: An Empirical Reassessment", published in the International Review of Applied Economics, and "The Role of Transnational Corporations: Theory and Evidence," in Competition and Change.
